ANSI A10.34 Public Safety

Length: 2 Hours

The objective of the ANSI 10.34 Class is to introduce contractors to the standard and its intention “for use as a guideline to provide protection for the public.” This course covers the responsibilities, implementation of a safety performance program, initiation of required responsibilities, development for prevention of typical construction hazards, establishing security, the requirements and processes for conducting Accident Investigations, and the repairs and replacements. Arc Flash

Length: 4 Hours

This class covers an introduction to NFPA 70E and Arc Flash Safety, OSHA Safe Practices, Energized Work Hazard Control Plans, lock out / tag out, electrical burns and 1910.303.

ATSSA Flagger

Length: 4 Hours

Flagger Certification Training

The flagger’s role is to protect project personnel and provide safe, courteous, and authoritative directions to traffic seeking passage through the work area. This course will teach students standard flagger control references, proper flagging signals procedures, and standard flagger practices for various situations. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an ATSSA Flagger Certification card.

Class Time: 8AM – 12PM

Basic Safety Awareness

Length: 4 Hours

This 4-hour course is designed to provide employees who do not necessarily require full 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA training with a brief introduction to construction site safety. Students will gain exposure to construction fatality statistics, selection criteria for Personal Protective Equipment, standards for Hazard Communication, and fire prevention. Additionally, students will learn the various components required to establish an effective safety program, requirements for confined space entry and an orientation to blood borne pathogens, including controls for preventing the transmission of infectious diseases in the workplace.

Blue Print Reading

Length: 24 hours (3 Days)

This is a three-day course designed to help your employees better understand blueprints and how to read them. It covers reading & using measuring tools, mathematics, construction materials & symbols, and drawing: pictorial, orthographic, plot plans, foundation, commercial, residential, plumbing, and many more.

Confined Space Competent Person – Construction (1926)

Length: 8 Hours

This is a fast-paced, 8-hour course designed to assist your supervisors, foremen, estimators and workers in confined space safety and to meet the required OSHA standards. It includes an introduction to OSHA, review of 29 CFR Parts 1926.1201 thru 1926.1213, and the identification of various types of confined spaces in construction. Additionally, this course covers duties of the employer, confined space permitting, hazardous atmospheres, PPE requirements and rescue equipment. All attendees will receive a student manual and a laminated course completion card.

Prior to registering for this class, all prospective trainees must acknowledge that this virtual presentation of the Excavation Competent Person class does not satisfy the training and/or continuing education requirements outlined by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office for initial licensure, or license renewals. Only approved safety courses taught in-person by a qualified instructor are eligible for consideration by the Licensing Board. Confined Space Refresher

Length: 4 Hours

In this course you will learn an overview of confined space entry, the definition / recognition of confined spaces, different types of confined space, why “Entry Permit” written programs are required, hazards likely to be found in and around various confined spaces and how to eliminate / control them, pre entry procedures and precautions to take before entering a confined space and emergency rescue procedures.

CPR / First Aid / AED / Bloodborne Pathogens

Length: 8 Hours

This 8-hour class meets OSHA requirements to qualify supervisors, foremen and other employees, in CPR / 1st Aid. It covers an introduction to OSHA standards, a review of 29 CFR Part 1926.33, Part 1926.50, Part 1910.20, Part 1910.1030, emergency care qualification by student demonstration and hands on practice and use of manikins to develop knowledge, skill and confidence. All attendees will receive a completion card upon completion.

CPR / First Aid Refresher

Length: 4 Hours

This 4-hour class recertifies supervisors, foremen and other employees who have been previously trained in CPR /1st Aid and are approaching the expiration date of their CPR / 1st Aid credentials. It covers a review of Emergency Action Plan, a review of 29 CFR Parts 1926.35 and 1910.30, a review of Consent and Approval, and all attendees will receive a laminated class card upon completion.

Crane Competent Person

Length: 8 Hours

This is a full day course designed to meet your supervisors, foremen, estimators, and workers needs for the new OSHA Subpart CC standard. It covers an introduction to OSHA Subpart CC, a review of 29 CFR Part 1926.1400 thru 1926.1441, a review of ANSI and Crane Management Plan, mandatory crane inspection and maintenance, critical lift planning, protection of the public, communication and crane signals – ANSI and OSHA Reviews. All attendees will receive a student training manual and a certificate of completion. This is not a CCO – (Certified Crane Operator) Class.

All attendees will receive a student training manual and a certificate of completion. This is not a CCO – (Certified Crane Operator) Class.

Crane Refresher

Length: 4 Hours

This is 4-hour course is designed to meet your supervisors, foremen, operators, and workers needs and the required OSHA standards. It covers and introduction to OSHA, a review of 29CFR Part 1926.550, review of ANSI B30.5, a Crane Management Plan, mandatory crane inspection and maintenance, Critical Lift Planning, protection of the public, communication and crane signals.

Damage Prevention (GUFPA) (811)

Length: 4 Hours

This 4 hour course designed to meet GUFPA’s required training as well as educate all others in the utility laws and dangers. This course is approved for four hours continuing education credit by the Georgia Secretary of State. It includes an introduction to Georgia Dig Law, an overview of Georgia Overhead Law, the rules of the Georgia Underground Marking Standards and all attendees will receive a student manual and a laminated class card for this course.

Length: 4 Hours

Driver Safety

Length: 4 Hours

This course will cover an introduction to OSHA, distracted driving and defensive driving. Learn about the changing driving culture and tips on how to combat distracted driving. How to identify driving hazards, an understanding of defensive driving techniques and how to use them to prevent accidents and injuries on the road.

Electrical Safety Awareness

Length: 2 Hours

Attendees will be able to identify the hazards that can affect employees when application of the standards under 29 CFR 1926.400 Subpart K and 1910.147 Subpart S are not correctly applied in the workplace. The course will cover an introduction to OSHA, review 29 CFR Part 1910.147 & 29 CFR Part 1926.400, discussion of scope, application and purpose of electrical standards, development of knowledge of electrical hazards, and implementation of procedures including GFCI requirements, inspection of cords, tools, receptacles, junction boxes and more.

Equipment Operator Safety

Length: 2 Hours

This course includes an introduction to OSHA and Subpart O, other OSHA and Federal requirements and an equipment manual review.

Excavation Competent Person

Length: 8 Hours

This 8 hour course is designed to meet your supervisors, foremen, estimators, and workers needs in excavation & trenching safety and the required OSHA standards. It includes an introduction to OSHA, review of 29 CFR Part 1926.650 – 1926.654, soil analysis procedures, sloping options and requirements, use of tabulated data and an understanding of hazardous atmospheres. All attendees will receive a student manual including Subpart P, and a laminated course completion card for this course.
