Course Topics

During this 5-day course, we will cover the following information:

  • Day 1: Program and Industry Introduction, Class Rules, How to Succeed in Construction, Trades and Career Paths
  • Day 2: Applying for a Job in Construction, Interviewing and Resumes, Communication, Relationship Management
  • Day 3: OSHA Construction Safety, Construction Math, Blueprint Reading
  • Day 4: Hand and Power Tools Used in Construction
  • Day 5: Construction Materials, Equipment, and Handling Methods

Upcoming Boot Camps

Classes are taught remotely with a live instructor (not recordings). Topics include safety, tool usage, material handling, communication, and employment skills. Our next session is taking place on the following dates:

  • Monday, April 19 – Friday, April 23, 2021 from 8AM – 5PM ET
  • Monday, May 17 – Friday, May 21, 2021 from 8AM – 5PM ET

Program Requirements

  • No previous construction experience required
  • Students must attend all 5 days of class in order to successfully complete the program
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet access, a webcam, and a microphone
    • NO mobile devices such as cell phones or tablets
  • Applicants must reside in the metro Atlanta area
    • If you don’t live in the Atlanta area, please check back for future Boot Camp dates/locations.
  • Criminal background check and drug testing may be required
