NCCER Basic Rigger
This is a fully-credentialed, 8-hour course designed to provide a better understanding of common rigging hardware, proper safety practices for load-handling, inspection techniques, hand signals and hitch configurations. This course will cover the following topics: Describe the use and inspection of basic equipment / hardware used in rigging, explanation of sling angles, describe basic rigging and crane hazards, safety practices related to rigging activities and procedures for using slings, attaching hardware such as shackles, eyebolts, hooks as well as rigging knots and demonstrate proper use of ASME hand signals.
